Crude Coconut Oil (CNO) is derived from the meat of matured coconuts harvested from coconut palm trees (Cocos Nucifera). Upon extraction of the meat, fire, sunlight, or kiln driers are used to dry it and produce copra. Crude coconut oil is then derived from copra. CNO is currently used in various industries such as beauty, food, pharmaceuticals, soap and detergents, and most recently, biodiesel.
